News:
The Bill was withdrawn on  the 8th of June 2023

Time ran out, under Standing No. 80A (Carryover of Bills) as applied by the Order of the House of 25 April 2022, on 8 June 2023, two years after the bill’s original first reading on 8 June 2021.

On 25 May 2023, the Minister for Food, Farming and Fisheries (Mark Spencer) announced that the Government would be taking forward measures from the Animal Welfare (Kept Animals) Bill individually during the remainder of this Parliament
