Unexpected night visitor at Sutton Hoo
There was an unexpected night time visitor to Sutton Hoo.
The alarms were set off recently in the early hours on morning. Staff soon discovered a female pipistrelle bat.
She wasn't immediately up to flying and will be looked after by licensed ecologist and bat volunteer until she is ready to be released back to Sutton Hoo.
Up to 10 different species of bat have been confirmed as living at and around Sutton Hoo.
The Pipistrelle Bat is the smallest and most common bat seen in the UK
