Duke has written his column this month about Miss Starhound on page 13

Ever since the New Year there has been two big things happening here.

The first, I have been trying to improve my astronomy.
I was looking out for the Venus and Jupiter conjunction, which resulted in probably the thickest and most sustained cloud cover I have ever seen.
Now I am trying to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights, or it’s proper name, Aurora Borealis.
I have been popping outside regularly in the evenings to see if I can see anything, but alas, no luck so far.
If anyone has hints or tips, that would be pawsome.

The second big event is that my human has decided to go all healthy and do a lot more walks.

The first downside is that snacks and treats have been reduced greatly.
I have even taken to standing in front of the kettle so I get a treat if they want to have a drink!

I have also been getting dragged out more for longer walks.
Now walks are not bad, but when they started they pushed themselves to do a longer walk, but they forget that we have to walk back too! BOL!

So after a few really, really long walks, and what felt like even longer walks back.
We are sticking to circular walks and walks where we keep an eye on how far we walk, so we can turn back at a sensible distance to be able to walk back again.

We have even met up with some local dog walking groups, which is great for meeting new dogs and their humans.

Dog walking groups are a group of human that meet up at various agreed locations and walk together.

If you have a dog walking group, let me know and I can add the group to my website as I know Pals are always asking if I know of groups in their areas.

Also let me know if you know of a walking route. Please include if it is a on or off lead area, how far the walk is and where it is.

I am going on another walk with a group this weekend and they estimate the walk as five miles. Wish me luck and lets see if we can make it around in one piece. BOL!

Nose bump to you
