Hey pals.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer, especially the brief spells of warmth. Those of you who follow my social media will know that I've just spent a heady couple of weeks in Devon. My beloved Woolacombe, to be precise, home of the uber dog friendly Woolacombe Sands Caravan Park. I know how to live it up pals! From Brighton it's a bit of a slog to drive to but well worth it when you get there. The site allows dogs in the clubhouse (bingo, I shall say no more) and you can walk through the fields to the beach. The sandy beach is famously long and beautiful, and remains dog friendly all year. Pubs allow dogs, there's a dog friendly taxi and even a couple of the restaurants. As a doggy holiday destination in the UK, it's one of the best.

Pitched up with an amazing sea view we spent a great couple of weeks forgetting about the pandemic (bar masks, of course) and vaccination centres. I, obviously, snoozed for most of it and held discussions about future purchases of a dog buggy. It was really noticeable this year that, now I'm 11, I struggle a bit on warm days. Luckily, we had family there with a car so that I didn't have to walk every day, but long-term Elaine may have to consider pushing me around!
I have to say, I'd love it!

We also bumped into an old friend of mine, Olive the Labrador. We'd played a lot when young on West Wittering Beach and it was wonderful to bump noses and sniff bottoms once more. The site was full of dogs, as was the beach. Terriers yapped, spaniel dug holes and pointy noses sat about watching the world go by. I can't wait to go back.... in a buggy of course!
Until next time my pupsters, enjoy the summer.
