Hello from Hayling Island pals!
Yep, another mini staycation for me back at one of my favourite haunts. I'm up Fisheries Creek without a paddle, bol, well not quite and my humans have SUP paddles so I think I'll survive. The weather is absolutely dire though, rain and wind. What has happened to our summer eh? This year has been very disappointing for sunshine on the south coast, spring was terrible and now the summer is cold and damp. We have family in France and all they talk about is the heat.... I want some!

At least the lockdowns are over for a bit though and we can get out and about fully. I've noticed a lot of my twitter friends have been on excursions to castles and National Trust sites. Elaine recently went to Blenheim Palace with a friend, dogs are allowed in the grounds but obviously not the house. Apparently there were quite a few spaniels running amok amongst the trees!

Here in Hayling Island there's little to do, unless you have a car, so we're chilling and I am sleeping. We've been watching the news rolling out of Afghanistan and keeping an eye the Nowzad animal charity. It's scary for all those lovely vets and people that were helping the animals, and indeed the locals of Kabul. Like the rest of the animal world we'll be watching closely and supporting the charities as much as possible. It makes your release how lucky you are to be born in a stable country and very much treasured and spoilt.

Take care my friends,
