News from Doris - The Roving Reporter

Hey pals,
Well, it's been cold and icy down in the south but we've had some amazing sunsets this week. The sky has been on fire! I've had a few limps and creaks so have taken it easy and just bimbled down to the beach for each setting of the sun. I'm twelve now so if I charge about one day, I have to make sure I rest. Trouble is I charge about quite a lot still and I'm rather partial to my tennis balls every walk. Elaine has to be careful and not throw them too far, or she secretly hides them!

I finally had my booster jabs (bit like the humans!!) having waited 6 months for them. The vet constantly said there were no stocks and blamed Covid, it was a right old hassle. Continued Covid restrictions meant that I had to go into the surgery room on my own. Now, I am a complete muppet when it comes to needles and always scream at the first sight of one. The vet said 'oh she was fine, no problems at all' but Elaine heard my screaming and imagined me climbing the walls before being pinned down by several nurses! Why don't they just admit it eh, bol?

Whilst I was there I had my arthritis check-up prod. All is ok and my meds and supplements are working well. The vet said, that as far as he was concerned, the only supplement to work is the green lipped mussel but I find that the turmeric is really helping still. So all supplements are continuing!

Well, I have to get myself fit for holiday season this year, Covid allowing I may get out and about!
