Hola my friends,
yep you guessed it, I've just returned from sunny Spain! Well mainly sunny, it was a bit cold and windy if I'm honest. We'd travelled down through France and parked ourselves at a friend's house in Cadaques as normal. We like it there, it's like a Spanish Cornwall and very beautiful. It's pretty hilly so this time I was glad of my chariot. I'd walk 20 mins down pig alley (as I called it as the wild hogs were often there) and then jumped in my chariot to be pushed the rest of the way to the pub. The locals thought it was hilarious that a British couple were pushing what looked like a galgo around!

After Cadaques and a brief stay in Roses we headed off to Andorra, a stunning 3 hour drive gradually working up to a ski resort. Andorra itself it's that nice, the countryside is gorgeous but the towns are packed in. Although it was the end of March we were very lucky to have a dumping down of snow. Some friends came to join us to ski and the first night was -11 degrees and a blizzard, we work up to 7 inches of perfect snow. It was so lovely. I'm a huge fan of snow so got quite giddy on the slopes! The gondola has a dog friendly carriage and the hotels and bars all let me in too.

After that we drove across Spain as I had requested seeing my good friend Kio the galgo in Pamplona. I took my chariot to show him on a walk around town, I think he was quite impressed! We took in the old town, went in a funicular lift and ate pintxos in a bar.... the perfect tourist day for us! Having waved adios to Kio we popped over to San Sebastian for yet more pintxos and beer before heading back up through France to Calais and home. What a smashing way to spend 6 weeks, I'm really a very lucky hound.
