Toot toot pals,
the summer is fully upon us and we've had another heatwave. I'm personally loving the warmth on my brindle bones but I've been made to stay indoors far too much! It got extremely hot in Brighton at one point and after a dramatic night of panting, by me, Elaine bought a doggy cooling fan. It's an Evapolar EvaChill and is a dinky fan/water combo that's relatively eco friendly and can run from a USB point or computer (so handy for you campers out there!) I really like the cool breeze on my face and it's helped immeasurably on the hot nights. I hope all my pals have remained cool over the summer, I've been enjoying seeing a lot of hounds splashing about in paddling pools.

Luckily the we'd been away in the van the week before the heatwave and spent a smashing week in Hayling Island with perfect temperatures in the twenties. We're so used to being there when there's a storm, it was such a treat to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. We went on the Hayling Island Light Railway for the first time with friends, including Leo the poodle. It's super doggy friendly and runs along the beach for 15 mins. Leo loved it, he sat on his owners lap to look out of the window. Oh to be a small dog able to do that, bol!

Now things are a little cooler down south and in fact we had rain and thunder today, my doggy fan has been put to the side and my kagool is out again. It won't be out long though as the sun is forecast once more. Stay cool my friends and keep those cooling towels ready in the freezer!
