News from Doris - The Roving Reporter
- January 2023

Hey pals,
Doris here feeling all skippety boo and excitable. Yep, my Librela jab appears to be working and I am very much looking forward to my next injection. I'm sure most of you hound folk will have heard of it but here's the official blurb:

Librela is a veterinary medicine used for the alleviation of pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. It contains the active substance bedinvet, a type of antibody protein created by the body to fight infection and disease. Librela is 'monoclonal' because it was made by cloning a single type of antibody that has been found to bind specifically to nerve growth factor (NGF), a protein that is involved in promoting pain. By binding to NGF, Librela for dogs reduces the level of pain signals sent from damaged joints to the brain. The licensed dose regimen for Librela is one injection every four weeks.

So it's basically pain relief much like the tablets I was having. Every dog owner I know that had previously tried it raved about it and so far so good. I am still having all my other supplements, like green lip mussel and turmeric but I'm definitely loving this super duper (expensive) jab.

Right, show me the nearest hill to run up, I'm ready for a zoom!
