The Capers of Cilla
- October 2026

Hola amigos,
Cilla the mischief maker here! From digging on the bed to zoomies round the house, this month has mostly been shenanigans based at home. I'm 2 years old now so apparently in the naughty teenage phase, muy bien para mi. I love being a naughty teenager because I'm big, strong and silly, a great mix. Elaine says I am funny but tiring.

I begin my days at 2am when I wash myself loudly before going back to sleep for 6 hours. Elaine then has to wake me up to take me out, naturally I try to refuse both. Who wants to go out when you can run around the house? Having said that once I'm outside, I realise that my friends, like Otto the labrador, are also out and it's time to run amok in the park. Bravo! Thanks to Dave, my beloved dog trainer, my recall is quite good but that doesn't stop me 'not hearing Elaine' unless chicken is involved, I love food. I also love running around the park with Otto, barking at tennis players and rolling in wood chip piles.

After being 'worn out' on a morning walk it's time to practise my flying leaps onto the sofa. So far my distance record is 2 metres 10cm landing squarely onto the cushions. I always jump lengthways so that I can skid to a halt along the sofa. Good planning. Then it's breakfast and a good drink slurping water all over the kitchen. And finally, a sleep for 5 hours before repeating. Me encanta being a teenage dog!!
Right off for some sofa bounding.... Cilla x

Good capers: Lead eating, cushion digging, wiping my face on pillows

Bad capers: Otto not being in the park, human rules and the word 'no'
