Hey pals,
I'm 14.5 years old and I've only gone and moved house!
I'm super duper pleased with myself and so is Elaine. We'd hoped to move last year but things changed and it turned out delayed meaning that the humans become worried that I may not 'make it' being 'ancient'.
Well how rude my friends!! I'm in tiptop condition, albeit a bit grey and smelly round the edges, and I was determined to move.
I've lived nearly all my life in Brighton, and 12 years of it in this house. However, it has a lot of stairs and steps, 3 flights and steps up and down to the gardens and doors. I'm very active but even I was getting a little tired of hurtling up 3 steps at a time (obviously I can't walk up calmly, that would be pedestrian) So leaving my beloved garden bench and cool kitchen was a must.
As the months progressed and moving day came closer, Elaine became more anxious. She was desperate 'not to go without me' as I'm her girl. Well, a week later and I'm happy as Larry in the motorhome waiting for my new home to complete. These things are slow but I've been promised the Isle of Wight if I carry on..... Try to stop me bol.
It's always a hard decision for our humans to move us hounds but sometimes it's nothing but positive, however old we are. Like Elaine I loved my home but as long as I am with her and himself I am happy, bring on the pastures and adventures new.
