Duke visits Trentham Gardens
- May 2025

Repawter: Duke
Hi pals,
So I went to Trentham Gardens www.trentham.co.uk  on 5th April to find 12 Shaun the Sheep. This was first day of the 6 week trial in the park.

The gardens have concrete paths which are wheelchair friendly, a lake (designed by Capability Brown (also did Chatsworth House gardens) and an Italian Garden.

If you book in advance you save 10% on the admission and there is a member of staff to scan your ticket (there was a queue forming to pay for tickets on the day).

The activity pack had a map inside with the name of the Shaun’s - like The Beeshaper, Sakura, Panda-monium and a Shaun silhouette where they are.

We decided to walk round the lake clockwise and even watched some of the charity drag boat racing. After finding 7 of them it was time for the hoomans to have a picnic.
Aka Duke sleep time.

There is also a fairy trail where the fairy’s are hanging off buildings or frames.

After leaving the gardens finding 11 of the 12 we went to the garden centre (dog friendly until 29th June) where I quietly walked round and got strokes and pats from shoppers unlike the screening kid who was throwing a major noisy tantrum all the way round.
Then hoomans did some shopping in the 80 timber lodge shops - a rough hound guess 50 are dog friendly all displaying dog welcome stickers in the windows.  By this time we were all thirsty so we went to Trentham Craft Bar. I had another lovely lie down until a small Minhoo came in not looking where he was going and nearly kicked me in the head except hoomom shouted at him ! Being a good hound I didn’t react.

The parking was free and hoodad could have charged the Dukemobile (4 electric and 8 tesla chargers).

You can even pop your head in Shaun shaped holes.

Love and licks
Duke
