About:
Set within the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, Ascott is a unique historic estate where art, history and nature come together. Originally a 17th-century farmhouse, it was transformed by the Rothschild family into an elegant country home and today houses an outstanding collection of paintings, fine furniture and ceramics.
Explore over 30 acres of picturesque gardens, where formal planting blends with natural landscapes, colourful herbaceous borders and specimen trees. Throughout the seasons, the gardens provide a peaceful setting for visitors to discover hidden corners, historic features and beautiful views.
Visitors can enjoy a varied programme of events throughout the year, from seasonal activities and family events to guided tours and special experiences. Take time to browse the pre-loved bookshop, relax in the Pavilion Tea Room with homemade refreshments, or pick up a souvenir in the Tea Room's gift shop.
Whether you're exploring the house, wandering through the gardens or spending time with family and friends, Ascott offers a memorable day out in one of Buckinghamshire's most charming historic estates.
Ascott is managed by Ascott Farms Ltd on behalf of the National Trust. The Pavilion Tea Room and Gift Shop are operated directly by Ascott Farms Ltd, with proceeds supporting the ongoing care and conservation of the Estate.
