Lucy and Nelson - On the Move
December 2025

Hola Amigos/woof hello Buddies
We are Lucy and Nelson from #ERSRemovals back again and checking in with all our Furry Amigos, what have we been up to since last time you ask
Woof : Well woof walkies and all that, so just been dogs, well Ashley told Tigger we would be talking oops!
translation error he meant barking about Spanish Christmas , woof why does he bother bol.

We changed our mind due to a walkie! How you ask Nelson? well smartie collar you know but yeap the readers don’t yeap so who is a smartie collar now Lucy? Anyway on our walkie route is a lot of not wild, as someone once planted them but now feral (woof thats a term for animals) well smarty paws what would you call them? Okay woof Feral olive trees, not surprising as Spain is one of the worlds leading growers of Olives and producers of Olive oil, but you bark or meow at us fellow pawsters what has that to do with anything well, the hoomans and us woofers decided to make Olive oil

From Tree to plate as Tigger put it

Step 1 pick the olives, woof I tried but the branches kept moving so we only managed to eat oops! meant pick honest okay the Hoomans picked we ate the drier ones , and Lucy tried to eat from the tree, woof yes I already barked about that but it went wrong

Step 2 wash the olives (all hoomans ) woof we watched

Step 3 squish the Olives , woof sounds fun , well the hoomans said it was the more fun part , Nelson, beating no sorry squashing them poor defenceless Olives

Step 4 drain them and force the oil out of the pulp

Step 5 leave to settle

Step 6 Drain and filter

Woof our hoomans are bound to have made mistakes
Woof Lucy the most fun part for us was helping pick them Olives.

Yeap as it was all part of our walkies, plus mum hooman mum said she now can see why a lot of people pick them then send them to the olive press, as it seems a lot of work for not much oil.

Yeap all the walkies fun of helping our hoomans find the best olive trees and eating the odd olive and then let the presser do all the hard work?
Or maybe they might try again we don't yet know woof
