Position:
Fuchsias prefer to be sheltered from the wind, but will grow pretty much anywhere and in full sun or shady areas.

You can sew Fuchsia in early summer, but they are really difficult to grow from seed as the germination of the seed can be delayed if the soil temperatures are not perfect.
Growing from cuttings is much easier as the cuttings can be placed in waterto encourage root growth, or planted directly into the soil.

There are over 15,000 varieties of fuchsia and over 50 different colours The flower colours come in a wide range including pink, purple, red, white, and various shades in between.

The first species of fuchsia was brought from South America by Captain Firth in 1788 and placed in Kew Gardens.
