What is "Parliament has Prorogued"?
“Parliament has prorogued” means that it has come to the end of a Parliament session.
Incomplete Bills, motions and questions are ended. Some could be carried over to the next Parliament session, but the are strict rules around how and if any are.
The only alternative is to reintroduce a bill when the next parliamentary session starts, which means starting the Bill whole process from the start again. Although things discussed could be used in the previous parliamentary session could be used to strengthen the Bill’s progression.
