Parking:
Use postcode PO41 0NS for parking Car park is less than 5 minutes walk, across the road adjacent to the Wightlink ferry.
Visitors have to cross a busy road to access the site. Pay and display' car park (coin operated).
Not managed by English Heritage. There is some limited free car parking in the town but with a maximum of 1 hour stay

Notes:
Take care crossing the road outside to gain access to the site.
There are 10-15ft drops off the side of the Castle. Barriers and railings are in place.
Wheelchair access via cobbled pathway. Flat stone in majority of castle, grassy terrace for picnic area.
Ground floor area of the courtyard and shop are accessible for wheelchairs.
The Castle kitchen, master gunners quarters and original castle entrance are accessible via several steps.
Access to upper areas including the viewing platform is via steep historic steps, restricting wheelchair access to the ground floor.
