About The Three Wheat Heads Inn:
The Three Wheat Heads Inn is a charming 300 year old inn. Located within Thropton village the inn is only two miles from Rothbury, twelve miles from Alnwick and overlooks the Simonside hills. The perfect location to take your weary humans after a long adventure in the countryside. There is accommodation there too in case you have worn them out too much.

Facilities:
As you enter the inn you are greeted with a perfect blend of modern with well maintained rustic charm.
The restaurant is not accessible by dogs but I hear it has huge windows to allow everyone to benefit from the countryside views.
The lounge/bar area is still as pleasant but without the huge windows.
Although I must say there is a brilliant inglenook fire which just finishes off a great walk perfectly.
The staff seem highly trained at taking orders and serving food, all while stepping around passed out dogs.
There may be a dog pile up to see who gets nearest to the warmth.
Outside in the vast beer garden there is the opportunity to enjoy the food and drink outside too.

There is a function room that could be booked for functions, form business meetings to wedding receptions.

The accommodation is very modern but with a great attempt to keep the rustic charm without skipping on the facilities our humans require.
Dog friendly rooms are available. Remember to check for crate space if you have yours with you.

Food:
The food is traditional and home cooked. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced.
The portions are great which leaves loads of potential of having the leftovers. (remind your humans to bring your food bowl)
As the food is cooked to order it may take a little while to arrive but the wait is worth it.

Dog access:
Dogs are allowed in the bars, lounge and beer garden but not in the restaurant.

Access:
As the Inn is over 300 years old wheelchair access was not on the builders minds at the time. With this in mind it appears that it should be relatively easy if you have a human in a wheelchair with you.

Opening Hours:
Inn: 11:00 to 23:00 Mon to Sun
Restaurant: 12:00 to 21:00 Mon to Sun (room guests get fed in the morning)
