The Scratching Post
April 2026
Hi Furriends!
We hope everypawdy has been trying to have fun.
Mom was finally able to put the screen for the patio door back up. Yippee! That means we have been able to get fresh air…only for three days. But that is still better than zero days. And it’s not for very long because then she gets cold and closes the door (what a whiny baby). We were so excited to see her bring the screen inside! So excited that we wanted to help her. But then she started yelling at us to get off of it. So confusing.
Then after it was nice, it was snowing. What the heckies?!?!
Stetson is big momma’s boy! He wants to be on her every time she sits down or lies down. He’s just a big orange baby. He plops his big butt on her head when she’s sleeping. Or steps his big Easter Bunny foot on her neck. He probably thinks he’s small or something. You know those brainless orange ones (MOL).
He hasn’t acted like he wants to escape anymore. So that’s good. Neither has Carlito. Well, sometimes they kinda act like they want to go outside when we’re all watching birdies. But that could be because they’re just super excited. Who knows. But Mom always tells them that they’re not running away, and they’re stuck here.
She’s so bossy!
BoyCat still tries to walk out the door. He doesn’t get far because he’s old. We don’t know where he thinks he’s going. But he always walks to the same weed every time. Well, it’s cold, and the weed isn’t there now…but, he goes to where the weed was. He has kidney disease now, so he gets cat-napped every week to go to the v.e.t.
Why does the v.e.t make everyone smell funny and odd?
Nobody believes in personal space over there
(especially the humans).
Til Next Month,
All of Us
