It’s been a while since my last repawt, we’ve been stuck at home with the humans for most of the year. Nevertheless we managed our first hodilay of the year to Gairloch recently. Gairloch is on the NC500 - and it’s a pretty pawsome place for dog friendly cafés - and one of our favourite caravan sites.
Sands Caravan & Camping
Open April to October. They have caravan, motorhome and tent pitches and some serviced pitches. Facilities include well-maintained shower blocks, dog walking area, games/tv room, a laundry and a large well-stocked shop.
A fairly large, higgledy-piggledy site and overlooking a gorgeous sandy beach, Sands boasts pawnoramic views of the Torridon mountains and the Cuillins on the Isle of Skye (how come there isn’t an Isle of Sparky? BOL!). On a good day you can see the Isle of Lewis across the Minch.
Also at the site are heated wigwam cabins which are all dog friendly. Pawsome!
