Sparky and Nelly visit... No. 19 Avoch
- August 2023

Hi Pals,
This month we visited:.

No. 19 Avoch
19 High Street
Avoch IV9 8PT

Avoch is a small village a couple of miles from Fortrose in the Black Isle, approx 14 miles north of Inverness.

The No. 19 coffee shop is on the main street and not only is it dog friendly, woohoo! but it has, says mum, an impressive vegan menu.

But most impawtently the café sold pupcakes, however, the meanies only bought Nelly and myself one pupcake each. Still they were absolutely pawsome but what’s pawticularly shocking, is when lunching at the café again a few days later the super skinflints forgot (or so they say) to order Nelly and myself some pupcakes. Grrr!

The café is fairly small with only 4 or 5 tables and a couple of tables outside. We all sat inside as mum’s teeth were chattering even though it was June and she was dressed for an Arctic expedition, BOL!

Mum was delighted with the choice of vegan cakes and she went for the millionaire’s shortbread and a vegan cheese toastie served with crisps and a large tasty salad. Dad had a ‘normal’ cheese toastie which he shared with us but we pawlitely said no thank you to mum’s. BOL!

There are also bowls of water available (for doggies, not humans, BOL!) to wash down any tasty treats.

The café sells local chutneys, jams, honey and ice cream and since our last visit vegan ice cream has been added to the list.
A good excuse to go back says mum. But for Nelly and myself triple portions of pupcakes please ……BOL!
