Tigger's Tails
- February March 2026
Hi Pals,
Oh my dogness, what a soggy year it has been here in the UK!
Now I know it is normally pretty miserable weather in the winter here, but even I can tell we’ve had buckets and buckets of rain so far in 2026.
Every day since the first of January the skies overhead have seemed determined to keep my walks either soggy or cancelled completely. My morning walks have turned into meteorological assessments before I even get my harness on!
The fields near my home are more puddle than grass, and I’ve had the joy of having to shake off rivers of water every time I step out into the garden. The parks are muddy, squelchy and far more suited to anyone else that is not me! BOL! My human keeps muttering about record breaking rainfall and another wet month, while I simply dream of warmer and drier days.
I don’t like waking in the rain, but I don’t mind walking after the rain has stopped as it means more interesting smells.
I am happy as it is now March in the UK and I think it is pawsome.
First of all the air smells different. The freezing cold bite of winter has softened not to mention the torrents of rain. Walks turn into new a sniffari every day as flowers are starting to grow and animals are starting to move around again.
Although my human is not as excited as I want to stop and sniff every flower, shrub and mound of grass on the walks. BOL!
The grass even seems bouncier under my paws. Snowdrops have been around for a few weeks already and now daffodils are popping up everywhere.
Let’s not forget the longer daylight hours too. Earlier and later walks in daylight and more opportunities to spot squizzers on my adventures.
So grab your lead, pack some treats, and step into March. It’s a month of fresh starts, wagging tails and glorious outdoor sniffs.
Nose bump to you
Tigger
