About Us:
The Baskerville Arms Hotel is a family run, Visit Wales 3-star Inn with 13 ensuite bed and breakfast rooms, public bar and restaurant serving great pub food only a mile or so from Hay-on-Wye, in the glorious Wye Valley.
Our bar and restaurant get very busy. If you are planning to eat with us, please let us know in the comments section when making a booking so we can reserve a table for you. Although we will always try to accommodate our hotel guests we are unable to guarantee a table without a reservation.

Dog friendly rooms are available  (+ £6 per dog per night)

The first historical records of this former coaching inn, in antiquity known as ‘The Swan’, shows Thomas Lilevale as innkeeper, it was included in the 1815 list of pubs which undertook to keep good order.
We are a small village with a post office/shop and garage about a mile from Hay on Wye. It’s quiet here and many prefer the ease of parking and lack of late night noise to the town alternative, But you really need a car or be prepared to walk if you come here!

Surroundings:
We are in one of the most beautiful areas of Britain; you couldn’t pick a nicer spot to explore this wild and wonderful countryside. On the doorstep of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons and within walking distance of the River Wye, you will never be short of something to see and do.
The dramatic Black Mountains form the eastern part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and provide a dramatic contrast to the Wye Valley. They comprise a series of long heather-covered ridges, separating narrow and remote valleys. Here the sweeping views of rugged escarpments and untamed moorland are home to the peregrine falcon and red grouse.

There are an enormous number of walks to enjoy in the area. From the most challenging routes to a gentle stroll, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
